Bauer Spezialtiefbau with Bauer Umwelt have completed the excavation pit for a new care home, apartments and underground car park for a residential development in Eschborn, Germany.
Working for developer Gemeinnütziges Wohnungsunternehmen Eschborn, Bauer has prepared the 3,600m² excavation site and constructed a piled retaining wall.
For the scheme, 18,000m³ of soil was excavated and 3,600m³ of ground replaced. Soil material was transported away and disposed of early in the morning or in the evening due to the city centre location.
Work will now start on the dismantling of the timber lagging, execution of the tie back and backfilling the working area.
When completed, the development will have a care home with 60 rooms, 29 apartments and commercial units and a 66-space underground car park.
