HTL Property agents Andrew Jolliffe, Sam Handy and Dan Dragicevich advises that it has been engaged to sell the famous Blue’s Point Hotel on behalf of former Qantas CEO and Tourism Australia chair, Geoff Dixon.
Following news last week of Paddington’s Light Brigade Hotel coming to market, leading national brokerage agency HTL Property advises that it has been engaged to sell the famous Blue’s Point Hotel on behalf of former Qantas CEO and Tourism Australia chair, Geoff Dixon.
Built in 1864, the timeless Blue’s Point Hotel has been a North Shore icon for over 160 years; and was one of the first pubs built on Sydney’s North Shore.
“It has been a popular drinking place even prior to the opening of the Harbour Bridge, being there from the early 1860’s when the road led to the Sydney Harbour ferry crossing” advised Vendor, Geoff Dixon.
“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our ownership of the Blue’s Point Hotel over the past decade, and have had numerous approaches from people interested in buying the pub; so we’ve decided the time is right to bring it to market  formally” Dixon added.
Spread across two levels and occupying a commanding corner presence on Blue’s Point Rd, the hugely popular local watering hole has played host to residents of the various lower North Shore suburbs, day trippers from South  of the Harbour Bridge and office workers from the nearby North Sydney CBD.
“The Blue’s Point Hotel is simply one of those pubs that everyone has a story or recollection about, and quite frankly pubs like it are irreplaceable” advised HTL Property Managing Director, Andrew Jolliffe.
Set across 580sqm, the hotel business enjoys food, beverage and accommodation revenues; and has the added benefit of 5 very valuable poker machine entitlements attached to the hotel license.
“We expect interest from local and interstate hoteliers who recognize the rare nature of historically significant hotels such as this; and from commercial property investors who identify with the scale and quality of the holding on the  main thoroughfare joining the North Sydney CBD to Sydney Harbour” concluded Jolliffe.
The Blue’s Point Hotel is being sold by HTL Property via Private Treaty and interested parties should contact the exclusive agents Andrew Jolliffe, Sam Handy and Dan Dragicevich.
