The Position
This is a key role for an experienced Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing the next generation of visible and infrared astronomical instrumentation. They will and have primary responsibility for oversight of the requirements definition, design synthesis and system validation, while working closely with Project Managers and interdisciplinary engineering teams.
The Person
We are looking for qualified (degree in Science, Engineering) Systems Engineer with experience in instrument or aerospace systems design including; requirements development, prototyping, build/manufacture and system validation.  A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key.
