This Rose Bay beauty has fetched more than $6 million.
The sweet brick house is in one of Australia's most salubrious suburbs.
As per the listing, the property – which transacted for $6.1 million via private treaty through luxury agency Pillinger – was positioned as a "charming freestanding double brick and tile bungalow" which "presents an exceptional opportunity for transformation".
At 3 Richmond Road, nudging the harbour's edge near the Royal Sydney Golf Club, the home is delightfully named The Anchorage.
The foreshore and local village are a short walk from the handsome, pillarbox red front door.
"Head over to Lyne Park for your morning stroll or a game of tennis, linger over lunch at iconic waterfront eatery Catalina or take a picturesque trip into the city on the nearby ferry," the listing, handled by Brad Pillinger and Victoria Llewellyn-Smith, says.
Rose Bay real estate has soared in capital growth over five years.
The median house price in the eastern Sydney, waterside suburb is $5,010,000, according to the Domain September 2023 House Price Report – a five-year rise of more than 48 per cent.

Agency Pillinger is also looking after a Point Piper wonder.
The breathtaking water's edge house, facing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, is surrounded by trophy real estate and carries circa-$60 million price expectations.
Point Piper is home to the most expensive house in Australia, a manor which transacted in 2022 for $130 million, in a suburb known as the nation's most expensive.
The asking price of 3A Buckhurst Avenue is not disclosed on the listing, but Pillinger confirmed to Nine previously that they have in sight the result of another Point Piper property, which fetched $60 million but needed improvements.
