MAJOR architecture, urban design and interiors practice firm Fender Katsalidis (FK) has made 16 new promotions across its Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney studios, as the business looks to mature its organisational structure.
The firm said the promotions elevate core functions of the business in interior design and architecture, as well as key operational roles.
“In our unwavering pursuit of design excellence and innovation, these promotions are about recognising the individual’s contribution to our strategic outcomes. Crucially, they are also a celebration of our highly integrated team and the role our broad range of skillsets play in FK’s overall success and strength,” managing director Mark Murphy said.
Sarah Hurst, Cliff Chang and Jim Stewart have been elevated to principal, which FK said complements the sustained growth of its interiors and architectural team, and recognise their leadership and expertise in adaptive reuse, large-scale precincts, master-planning and sustainability disciplines.
Between the three, they have led Buxton Contemporary (cultural/adaptive reuse), The Alba Albert Park Lake (aged care/adaptive reuse), 500 Bourke Street (commercial/adaptive reuse), Paragon (residential), Australia 108 (residential), Merdeka 118 (mixed-use) and Flinders West (mixed-use).
Key promotions across design and business services to associate principal have been made.
Promotions to Nuno Dias (Brisbane), Kianson Tay (Melbourne), and Tim Jones (Melbourne) will strengthen the practice’s architecture arm, complemented by Catherine Allington’s (Sydney) promotion in the interiors team. Communications and brand specialist Peta Michaelides (Melbourne) has also been elevated.
Further promotions to associate level include Imogene Pond, Justin McLennan, Freya Robinson, Andrew Crettenden, James Selleck and Sally Jacob from the design team.
Robert Willis, IT and systems lead, as well as Lauren Waddell, people and talent development lead, have also been promoted to associate.
