The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done rose 5.6% in the March quarter to $27,192.6m. The trend estimate rose 3.7%. 
The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the private sector rose 4.6% in the March quarter to $14,787.3m. The trend estimate rose 3.1%.
The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the public sector rose 6.8% in the March quarter to $12,405.3m. The trend estimate rose 4.2%.
The value of work commenced rose 11.6% in the March quarter to $33,429.2m in original terms.
The value of work commenced for the private sector in the March quarter was $16,449.6m in original terms.
The value of work commenced for the public sector in the March quarter was $16,979.5m in original terms.
This publication updates the preliminary estimates released in Construction Work Done, Australia on 31 May 2023. This release includes revisions to Engineering Construction data back to September 2019.
