56 Centaur St, Revesby NSW
Interstate buyers looking to upsize into their dream luxury mansion have travelled to a newly listed property in Sydney’s south west that is tipped to break a record.
Initially designed and constructed by a builder for his family in December 2020, the five bedroom property in Revesby has been listed with a guide of $2.95m.
The current record for the highest residential sale in the suburb was set by 47 Weston St, which sold for $2.125m in December 2021.
Buyers from Melbourne travelled interstate to see the 10-car garage.
Luxury car owners from Melbourne flew to inspect 56 Centaur St on its opening weekend, and were drawn to the 10-vehicle basement car park.
Over 45 groups also attended the first week of inspections, predominantly families seeking a bigger home in an area of Sydney where median prices sit at an affordable $1.25m.

The Revesby property has been listed with a $2.95m guide.
LJ Hooker agent Abir Eddine said the builder’s family had outgrown the two-storey home and was looking to construct a larger property elsewhere in Sydney.
“In addition to the car lovers from Melbourne, we’ve had upsizing families from the Central Coast and surrounding suburbs of Padstow and Hurstville come to inspect the property.

“It’s a luxury quality build that is priced at $2.95m due to its location and views from the balcony over the nearby Virginius Reserve.
“We’ve been slowly picking up market interest over the past few months with recent sales of $1.46m and $1.265m for duplexes in the suburb, attracting buyers that aren’t finding available stock in Padstow.”
The property includes an indoor cinema room.
Features of the double brick, concrete slab home include an indoor cinema, a heated swimming pool with a barbecue terrace, and a gym next to the garage.
The property is powered via solar panels and includes a 3000 litre underground rainwater tank.
Solar panels on the roof of the property keep it heated.
Ms Eddine said the concrete roof and remote fireplace also made the property unique.
“We think $2.95m is a good price for a recently built luxury corner home, perhaps better than the $2.9m property we sold at 36 Villiers Rd in Padstow Heights last year.”
It will be auctioned off on the 6th May.
