Cape Town-based renewable energy solutions provider AWPower has been selected as an approved residential solar energy solutions provider for financial services provider Nedbank’s vehicle finance division MFC.
“[This] allows us to offer our customers even greater value and faster access to tailored solar energy solutions that suit their unique needs . . . delivering a personalised service and designing tailormade systems that prioritise their energy requirements and budget," AWPower MD Christiaan Hattingh says.
He explains that customers will have the option of selecting Nedbank solar finance powered by MFC to finance the installations.
“Our suppliers have been fully vetted, accredited and are recognised by the highest industry standards. We have all the necessary legal agreements and processes in place to ensure our customers are protected and assured of the highest quality and service standards," Nedbank group managing executive Ciko Thomas adds.
The first step customers need to take is to contact AWPower for a needs analysis. Applicants should complete their details on AWPower’s website so that the team can have a better idea of their requirements.
Thereafter, a review of the initial cost estimate and preliminary design would need to be carried out.
At this stage, AWPower design engineers will analyse customers’ requirements and provide them with an initial cost estimate that includes a preliminary design based on an analysis of their needs. The AWPower team will help customers assess their energy use and requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of their investment.
The third stage involves applying for finance directly from MFC. Once customers receive the initial cost estimate from AWPower, customers can check their monthly instalment by using the MFC solar calculator.
Once customers are satisfied, they can apply for finance online with MFC. There are various flexible financing options of up to 72 months available.
Lastly, engineering design, a site visit and installation will take place. Once the finance has been approved by MFC, AWPower engineers will arrange for a site visit, design the customised solar solution and provide customers with an engineering design and tax invoice that will be submitted to MFC.
Following this, AWPower will proceed with the installation of the solar energy solution. The entire process, from initial contact to installation, can typically be completed within three to six weeks, depending on stock availability, Hattingh says.
“We are excited to [bring] customers cutting-edge renewable energy solutions that enhance their life and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future,” he adds.
