Another housing development was recently approved in Brunswick County.
The Forest View Townhomes Planned Development looks to bring 107 townhomes along Ash-Little River Road in southern Brunswick County. Plans for the development were approved by the Brunswick County Planning Board at its regular June meeting.
According to the approved plans, the nearly 23-acre project site is located along Ash-Little River Road near Hickman Road. Norris and Tunstall Engineering, a civil engineering and design firm based in Wilmington and Brunswick County, submitted the request.

The land surrounding the site is mostly vacant or single-family residential, while the project site is designated as medium-density residential in the county’s future use plan.
Parking for the homes will be off street, according to the plans, and consist of two spots per home. The development is expected to generate an additional 621 vehicle trips each week day. The roads within the development will be private, while water and sewer services will be provided by Brunswick County.
More than half the site − 12.5 acres − will be designated as open space, according to the approved plans, and 1.3 acres will be designated as recreation space.
