About the Role
Reporting to the Associate Professor in Environmental Engineering and working under the guidance and supervision of AMRDC senior research staff, the Research Associate will provide support and expertise to the Agricultural Machinery Research and Design Centre (AMRDC) research team.
In addition, this position is responsible for conducting high quality research related to agricultural engineering, under limited supervision and in collaboration with project stakeholders, to achieve planned research outcomes. Aspects of the research will include specialised activities of modelling using Discrete Element Method, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis as well as Computer Aided Design.

The Agricultural Machinery Research and Design Centre (AMRDC) is the oldest research group at the University of South Australia, with national and international recognition. Its research focus includes the development of improved engineering solutions for agriculture, particularly the cropping and food industries. The AMRDC research team undertakes a large number of multi-disciplinary collaborative research projects, but also delivers postgraduate project supervision, provides expert specialist advice as well as consultancy services to the associated machinery manufacturing industry.
