Pull up a pew at the designer church for sale in Sydney's millionaire's playground.
It was once owned by a funeral companybut could land in the hands of a family with the vision to create a harbour-side home.
The 1965 property in Vaucluse is for sale for the second time in less than 12 months and is the work of a world-renowned Aussie architect.
With its soaring angles and frontage to the harbour, the address at 32B Fitzwilliam Road is a landmark and occupies a coveted patch of land in a postcode where the median house price is $8.775 million.

Plans for renovations and extensions have been rubber stamped, the listing, on the books of Ray White Double Bay, reveals.
"One of Australia's most infamous mid-century buildings has now been DA approved to provide the opportunity to redesign and redevelop it into one of Sydney's best family homes," the listing says.
The tower of the mid-century design rises above the water line.
Once known as the Wentworth Memorial Church and part of Sydney architectural history, it was sold by the Anglican Church to funeral operators Brookava, Domain Pricefinder reveals, who is among the previous owners.
Occupying 2000 square metres, there is room for a substantial new home on manicured grounds.

The new owner of the property, built on handsome sandstone foundations, will be able to walk to Parsley Bay Beach.
The church, which last sold for $6 million in August 2022, according to Pricefinder data, was designed by Sydney-born Don Gazzard.
He was an influential architect and urban designer from 1960 until his death in 2017, according to the National Library of Australia. His creations won many awards.
Church conversions can command top dollar due to their unique qualities but they are not always priced at a luxury level.

For glamour on a budget, a swish church conversion for $425,000 that recently sold was the answer to buyers' prayers.
The former St Augustine's Anglican Church at 45 Baylis Street in Bethungra, New South Wales, is a stunning one-bedroom, one-bathroom property, which traded on March 8, about a month after it was listed.
The Vaucluse median has risen 12.9 per cent over the past year and 88.4 per cent over five years.
