It took a crew of 10 firefighters with three fire trucks to extinguish the blaze, their task made more difficult by the narrow access road leading to the property. The two luxury cars parked in the garage were destroyed.
Firefighters said the Tesla’s battery did not catch fire, and they don’t believe the electric vehicle caused the blaze.
NSW Police have set up a crime scene at the property and are treating the fire as suspicious. Anyone with information is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The impressive waterfront residence features four bedrooms, a self-contained one-bedroom studio, a heated pool, a private pontoon, a gym, and multiple water and city-view terraces.
The home sold for $8.5 million in 2021 and was most recently listed for rent in October for $3500 a week.
