Robocup Junior Australia Alice Springs committee is pleased to announce that the Robocup event will be held on the 14th October at St Philips college. Thank you to all schools who have committed to attending and providing an opportunity to showcase our young engineers here in Alice!

We are also hap­py to announce that we have man­aged to pro­cure James Dwyer from MTA to attend our NT event, and he will be pro­vid­ing some work­shops on Fri­day 13th Octo­ber and this is open to every­one (whether you are a school com­pet­ing or not)! James and some of the Robocup Alice com­mit­tee mem­bers will be on hand to answer any ques­tions and help any teams that are still strug­gling between 2pm and 5pm Frideay 13th Octo­ber at Min­na­mur­ra Hall, the event venue. 
Alter­na­tive­ly, if any schools would like to come and have a look and a go — we will have some robots ready to go! — to see what Robocup is about and how they might be able to imple­ment this in their schools so they can com­pete in the 2024 Robocup Junior event, please come down and pop in! We would love to see more schools involved — we all have the required robot­ics kits some­where in our school, and teach­ers do not need to be robot­ics gurus to facil­i­tate this. Resources are already avail­able and the stu­dents pick it up quickly.
We also hold PD for teach­ers through­out the year and we have local engi­neers pro­vid­ed by Ekisti­ca who can help out in classrooms/​clubs.
It is less daunt­ing if you see the events in actions, so please come along and see what it is all about either on the Fri­day or Saturday!
