THE ROLE
Do you want to work for a dynamic software team that supports and enables cutting-edge research? Are you interested in working on web and mobile development, data management and processing, and hardware control?
We have several excellent opportunities for suitably qualified and experienced Research Software Engineers, Programmers and Data Scientists UI/UX Specialists to join our Research Data & Software team at both the junior (Level 5) and intermediate (Level 7) levels.
Research Software Engineer (Level 7): from $97,783 to $106,018 per annum (Level 7) + 17% super and annual leave loading
As the successful applicant you will report to the Software Engineering Manager, and provide technical leadership and software engineering expertise for multiple instrument and technology projects. You will contribute to the delivery of the Research Data and Software (RDS) programme through communication, collaboration and integration between software engineers, technical specialists, and other team members, using agile methodologies.
Research Software Programmer (Level 5): from $75,400 to $85,728 per annum (Level 5) + 17% super and annual leave loading
As the successful applicant you will report to the Software Engineering Manager and provide software development and support for innovative instrument, technology, and data projects. You will contribute to the delivery of the Research Data and Software (RDS) programme by participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle as an individual and as part of a team.
Data Scientist, UI/UX Specialist (Level 7): from $97,783 to $106,018 per annum (Level 7) + 17% super and annual leave loading
As the successful applicant you will report to the Data and IT Manager and provide technical leadership and software engineering expertise for multiple instrument and technology projects. You will contribute to the delivery of the Research Data and Software (RDS) programme through communication, collaboration and integration between software engineers, technical specialists, and other team members, using agile methodologies.
