About ICNS
ICNS is a centre within the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development. ICNS is explicitly interdisciplinary, by combining electrical engineering, computer science, signal processing, and neuroscience. ICNS’s focus is on developing Neuromorphic Engineering solutions to existing problems. The centre has strong international partnerships within the Neuromorphic engineering community. About MARCS
The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is an interdisciplinary research institute of WSU. The vision for the Institute is to optimise human interaction and well-being across the lifespan. To strive to solve the problems that matter most through the themes: sensing and perceiving, interacting with each other, and technologies for humans. Researchers in MARCS come from many disciplines including cognitive science, developmental psychology, language science, music science, cognitive neuroscience, and biomedical, electrical, electronic and software engineering. ICNS are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Machine Learning and Neuromorphic Engineering who will work towards research in neuromorphic sensing and processing across a variety of sensing modalities and applications depending on candidate interest.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will work with Dr Saeed Afshar and Professor André van Schaik.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level A $106,765 to $128,989 p.a. (comprising Salary of $90,218 to $108,997 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
