A bonanza sale day has seen 18 lots of land sellout in the Hunter Valley’s Wallis Creek community.
A bonanza sale day has seen an 18-lot land release in the Hunter Valley sell out in a record breaking eight hours.
The sales event was held by developer Walker on Saturday at their Wallis Creek masterplanned community site in Gillieston Heights, with all of the lots selling between $359,000 and $410,000.
Doors opened at 8am with 18 appointments spread throughout the day and sales figures well exceeding $6.5m.
Luck played a part for the 18 keen buyers who were in a database of 200 that received a text message a few days prior to the event. It took just 10 minutes to book out as the first buyers to reply were guaranteed an appointment with the sales team.

The strongest interest in this land release came from existing Wallis Creek residents and Sydney-siders looking for a change of scenery.
Wallis Creek is an existing masterplanned community which Walker completed to the tune of 475 blocks in 2022.
Walker already has a community of more than 1000 homes, with the latest addition to the masterplan adding another 322 land lots over the next 12 months.
The first 18 lots are part of a staggered release and range in size from 450-806sq m.
Walker executive chairman Lang Walker AO saying the record sellout reinforces the strong demand from families wanting to live in a masterplanned community anchored by parklands, health, education, shopping and transport.

“Wallis Creek is giving more families the opportunity to unlock the great Australian dream – a place where residents are proud to live on big blocks of land with a backyard for the kids and the dog to run around in,” Mr Walker said.
“The interest from young families and couples who have outgrown their apartments has been
unprecedented, they want to live in a houseproud neighbourhood prioritising education, childcare, parks, recreation and convenient retail in one of the country’s best lifestyle regions.”
Wallis Creek residents Adam Buchanan and Megan Lye said they’ve never looked back, viewing dozens of projects before settling in Wallis Creek.

“We’ve loved making friends in the area and being so close to Newcastle,” Mr Buchanan said.
“The beautiful beaches of Port Stephens, the Maitland town centre only five minutes down the road and the incredible Hunter Valley vineyards just 30 minutes away.”
Walker will expedite their second land release in the coming weeks to cater for a growing waitlist of families and investors.
Mr Walker said large-scale masterplanned developments like Wallis Creek were essential for tackling NSW’s critical housing supply shortage and alleviating pressure on the rising cost of renting and buying property.
“We make big contributions to local infrastructure, cultural activities, healthcare, education and
sustainability to ensure our communities have everything they need to thrive alongside diverse
homes catering for generations to come,” he said.
