Melanie Greensmith, who founded the enduring Wheels and Dollbaby luxury rock and roll clothing label, and her rock industry partner Mark McEntee have sold their Del Rio, Elizabeth Bay apartment.
It’s tipped to have fetched $11 million through Romany Brooks of BresicWhitney.

The duo, who will now split their time between Perth and Mayfair, London, fancied the ground-floor harbourfront apartment due to its accessibility to the garden for their Maltese terriers.
Located on the Billyard Ave dress circle, the 2015 Vogue-featured apartment had cost $4.25 million in 2013.

The Del Rio apartment building in Elizabeth Bay.
Designed by John Spencer-Stransfield in the late 1920s in the Spanish Mission style, the apartment had previously traded in 2001 for $1.96 million when bought by caterer Charles Wilkins.
The apartment had a three-bedroom layout — with one the maid’s — however it was transformed into two bedrooms after Wilkins commissioned a Garth Barnett structural makeover.
The ‘coolest building in Sydney.’
Greensmith collaborated with decorator Maree Conley to refresh the apartment.
“I did have a little cry as it’s the coolest building in Sydney,” she told The Sell after its sale.
Her guests over the years included Dita Von Teese, Deborah Harry and INXS.
The whisper is that it has been bought by Simone Logue, the caterer, and her recently married husband, property industry veteran Ray Sproats.
