Tkay Maidza
Tkay Maidza is having a big year. Fresh off the back of having her song High Beams soundtrack the recent unveiling of the new iPhone 15, the Zimbabwean-born, Australian-raised rapper is gearing up to release her second full-length record, Sweet Justice in November.
Before then she’ll be dropping into SXSW Sydney for an exclusive performance at Defender House, an immersive new destination at the festival hosted by Defender – and Broadsheet Access members can enjoy half-price tickets.
Situated in the Machine Hall Precinct on Clarence Street, the spot promises to be a hub for tech, innovation, music and more at the festival. Once inside, guests will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Defender collection, including an exclusive preview of the new Defender Hybrid, the chance to experience a test drive, as well as enjoy a multitude of other sensory experiences.
Defender House runs from October 19-20 during the week-long SXSW Sydney. Tickets to Defender House on Thursday October 19, along with limited sessions on Friday October 20, are $35pp. Tickets to the Urban Nature event with Tkay Maidza and LEE, the 2023 winner of Triple J’s Unearthed High, on Friday October 20 are $129pp. Broadsheet Access members receive 50 per cent off to Defender House and Urban Nature.
