Canberra-based defence consultancy Terra Schwartz has been acquired by The APP Group, a nationwide engineering and projects delivery business.
Founded in 2017, Terra Schwartz is a specialist consultancy for the defence sector, specialising in procurement, tender management, and contract management services. The firm’s 50-strong team works for clients in the defence, national security, government, and law enforcement sectors.
“We’re excited by the opportunity to grow our Defence business and end-to-end service offering,” said David Simpson, The APP Group’s Chief Executive Officer. “This acquisition enhances and diversifies our capabilities in procurement, commercial, workforce and contract management for complex Defence and federal government agency engagements.”

Established in 1989, The APP Group (now 550 staff) is an expert in delivering capital projects in the property and infrastructure space. Formerly operating with a multi-label brand strategy, in July this year the firm brought its different businesses – Appoint Consulting, AquasS, Infrastructure Nation, St George Project Services, and Valorem Advisory – under a single united brand.
