113 Pebble Beach Dr, Runaway Bay is set to go under the hammer.
A Runaway Bay home has been totally re-imagined in a renovation that brings a touch of Sydney luxe to one of the Gold Coast’s newest property hot spots.
Owner Bridgette Moss explained she and her husband Rodney purchased the Pebble Beach Dr property in March 2020 after recognising its potential as ‘the worst house on a great street’.
“It was really original and we liked the fact we wouldn’t have to undo someone else’s idea of a renovation,” Mrs Moss said.
“The bones of the house were good; it was just tired and uncared for.”

How Queensland homes are beating the construction crisis
At the time the property was dated, but for the Mosses, the wide water frontage and prime northern Gold Coast position were an opportunity too good to pass up.
The couple tapped into Mr Moss’ background as a premium builder in Sydney’s coveted Eastern Suburbs to reinvent the home and bring a vision of a modern and minimalist resort-style residence to life.
“Runaway Bay is such a fabulous area,” Mrs Moss said.
“We wanted to invest in it with a next level renovation that did the property and its location justice.”

The couple lived in the home for 12 months prior to embarking on a year-long build process.
“We wanted to live in it to understand the nature of the property,” Mrs Moss said.
“Then we ripped apart the entire place, fully gutted it and rebuilt while adding new plumbing, a new pool, and all new landscaping.”

Stylish fittings are used throughout.
The result is a stunning and sleek home that’s all about family and location.
Spanning two storeys, the residence features wraparound balconies with 270-degree views and includes five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen, designated gym area, and open plan living and dining.
Internal areas lead effortlessly to the outdoors where no expense has been spared on the newly rebuilt magnesium pool complemented by a vast alfresco entertaining area with outdoor kitchen.
High ceilings create plenty of room.
The couple created a minimalist resort-style residence.
“You can swim in the pool and enjoy a sauna, and the firepit is a magical space to sit there under the stars,” Mrs Moss said.
“The kitchen is also amazing, and I love spending time on the upstairs balcony enjoying the peace and quiet, watching the boats go past and listening to the birds.”
The home overlooks the canal where two boat pontoons complete the quintessential Gold Coast lifestyle.
“You can hop on a jetski and be on the Broadwater in seven minutes,” Mrs Moss said.
“It’s also in a location close to a sporting centre, within walking distance to the shops, and Harbour Town is just around the corner.”

Mrs Moss noted the property was an opportunity for buyers to secure a newly renovated trophy home in an increasingly popular enclave of the Gold Coast.
“People are realising what a beautiful location Runaway Bay is,” Mrs Moss said.
“Everything’s on the water, it’s a quiet location and everyone really looks out for each other.”

As for the response to the renovation, Mrs Moss said people had fallen in love with its style.
“It’s a really magical home that’s just like living in your own private resort and there’s nothing quite like it between here and Sovereign Island.
“But even as we were building it, we knew it would be too big for us and is the type of house that really deserves a family.”
The property goes to auction on September 29 through Mitchell Booth of Amir Prestige.
