Callum Bengtson is Arup’s Sunshine Coast Office Leader and Civil Engineer who specialises in Transport Planning and Project Management. Callum has gained experience across a variety of different engineering fields including intelligent transport systems, maritime engineering and planning for major transport infrastructure projects.
Callum is a passionate transport engineer and project manager who strives to reach solutions that are fit for purpose, offer our clients value for money and deliver outcomes that benefit the wider community. Callum embraces the partnering approach to project delivery, recognising that our clients bring invaluable knowledge and experience that greatly supports project delivery and high quality outcomes.
Callum has led several major projects including the planning for the future Bruce Highway Western Alternative Stage 1, 2 and 3, the M1/M3 Southbound Merge at the junction of the Pacific Motorway and Gateway Motorway and the Warrego Highway/Haigslea-Amberley Road Intersection Upgrade. Callum has also fulfilled the role of Superintendent’s Representative for maintenance dredging projects including the Ross River Maintenance Dredging Project and delivered several boat ramp upgrade projects across Queensland.
Callum is also co-chair of the Engineers Australia Sunshine Coast Regional Committee which offers a range of events and programs for local engineers including professional development opportunities, networking and social activities. The group also educates the community about the importance of engineering and the profession.
