Sporting worlds have collided with the multimillion dollar sale of Buddy and Jesinta Franklin’s luxury Sydney apartment.
Sporting worlds have collided with the multimillion dollar sale of Buddy and Jesinta Franklin’s luxury Sydney apartment.
The Franklins’ near new Rose Bay property sold at the weekend to former NRL boss-turned-head of the Australian Cricketers’ Association, Todd Greenberg, and his wife Lisa for close to $5m, according to sources.
Set to go under the hammer last Saturday via Paul Biller and Calvin Stewart of Biller Property, the four-bedroom residence in The Carlisle was snapped up in a private deal prior to auction.
The Greenberg’s new pad has plenty of outdoor space.

Although the agent could not be reached for comment, Biller Property marketing campaign material quoted between $4.5m to $5m for the ground-floor apartment and it is believed to have scored close to the top of its asking price.
Designed by acclaimed architects MHND Union, The Carlisle was only completed in 2021 making it a quick turnaround for the model and sports star.
The apartment on Carlisle St has a 200sq m private garden, deluxe marble kitchen, three bathrooms, dressing room, vast luxury ensuite, herringbone floors, tandem lift parking space and storeroom on title.

Records show the former Miss Universe Australia and the AFL great bought off the plan in 2020 for $5m, meaning the duo were unlikely to have broken even on the deal.
Franklin made headlines in September last year, however, when he extended his nine-year, $10m contract with the Sydney Swans for an additional year.
Despite his extended stay with the Swans, the high-profile parents to daughter Tullulah and son Rocky appear to be leaving Sydney behind after purchasing a glamorous estate in the Gold Coast hinterland for a reported $8.75m.

Meanwhile the Greenbergs look to be making their own lifestyle change, downsizing from their expansive waterfront home on Annette St in Oatley Bay.
Records show the Greenberg’s 714sq m Oatley property hit a new price benchmark for the suburb with the $5.5m sale. Picture: Supplied
On February 17, the pair offloaded their grand five-bedroom pile with jetty and pool for $5.5m through McGrath Oatley agents Kieran Bresnahan and Sharyn Hopkins.
Records show the 714sq m property racked up a new highest price for the suburb.
Given that the Greenbergs purchased the house for $2.1m in 2013, they clearly made a tidy profit.
