UAE developer Azizi Developments has awarded Stromek Emirates Foundations a contract for shoring, excavation and dewatering for phase three of the US$3.3bn (£2.4bn) Riviera project in the Mohammed Bin Rashid City mixed-use development in Dubai.
Riviera will form a “Mediterranean-inspired community” in the heart of Mohammed Bin Rashid City, also known as MBR, which, upon its completion, will comprise more than 16,000 residences, with a retail boulevard, a canal walk and a green social space.  The construction value of Riviera’s phase three is estimated at US$272M (£196M).
Stromek is a contractor in mechanical foundations, headquartered in Dubai, with more than 750 completed projects in the Gulf region.
Commenting on the contract,  Azizi Developments chief development officer Mohamed Ragheb Hussein said: “Stromek Emirates is an industry veteran with more than 26 years of experience in providing the most reliable, swiftly executed shoring, dewatering and excavation services.
