Australia's cheapest street to buy a house in has a median price of just $35,000.
However, as might be expected in a property market that's been as hot as the Sahara at times, to go that low you'll be living on the lip of the desert.
Downing Street in Western Australian town of Norseman, a dot in the Goldfields-Esperance region, is the most affordable street in Australia, according to Ray White's sales data and research.

The outback town, several hundred kilometres from Perth, is a last stop before crossing the Nullabor Plain, heading to the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.
There are a handful of listings available on Domain right now in Norseman, starting at $12,500 for a 1012-square-metere vacant block, but none in Downing Street.
In second place, with a median of $37,500, is Porter Street in Aramac, one of the oldest towns in central Queensland, with a population of about 300 (its better known neighbour is Longreach, about 90 minutes away by car).
Paget, a suburb of Mackay in Queensland, occupies third spot. Paget's Illawong Drive (with a median of $37,750) runs parallels to the water.

The top ten for affordability is divided between four states – South Australia, the Northern Territory, Canberra and Tasmania don't cop a mention.
On the flip side, streets with Sydney Harbour views constitute Australia's real estate cream.
The most expensive street in Australia, Ray White found, is Wolseley Road in Point Piper, a long street of almost 1km lined by mansions with panoramic harbour vistas from living rooms.
In the last 12 months, deals of up to $45 million have been inked in Wolseley, leaving it with a median of $33 million.

This is followed by Tivoli Avenue in Rose Bay (a median of $22.6 million), a short street next to the water, so some residences capture views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
Carrara Road in Vaucluse is the third most expensive street in Australia, with a median of $17.884 million.
Ray White's data analyst William Clark, who crunched the numbers, said the results show an "undercapitalised array of suburbs".

"Australia's most affordable streets fall well below the national median, with sales on Norseman's Downing Street just over a thousandth of those on Point Piper's Wolseley Road," he wrote in the report.
"While expensive streets typically attract a combination of water views, beach or national park access, access to a city centre and large lot sizes, the streets on the affordable list tend to have none of these features, and are likely to be located in a relatively isolated region with low commercial activity or local amenities.
"Affordable streets are located in a diverse range of states, with regional New South Wales, Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria all making the list."
